This year\, all proceeds will go to help the Jacob and Kayla Chambers family. \nTheir five-year-old son\, Chip\, was recently diagnosed with Batten Disease (CLN3)\, a rare and incurable genetic disorder that often begins with vision loss and progresses to seizures\, loss of mobility\, and cognitive decline. There is no cure\, and the medication that helps slow the disease is not covered by their insurance — it costs $7\,000 a month with a manufacturer coupon (normally $28\,000/month). DESCRIPTION:Every first and third Saturday of each month\, Valley Church of Christ hosts the Gunter food pantry from 10:00a – 11:30a. Donations are accepted at the metal bin outside the metal building at the church.
