Why We Need Accountability — This Sunday, July 26

This Sunday at Valley Church of Christ, both of our services take on a subject most of us would rather keep at arm’s length: accountability. Not the corporate buzzword — the biblical practice of letting other people close enough to see where we actually are, and giving them permission to say something about it.

What to Expect

Scripture doesn’t picture the Christian life as a solo project. “Iron sharpeneth iron” (Proverbs 27:17), “confess your faults one to another” (James 5:16), “consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works” (Hebrews 10:24) — the church was built on believers who knew each other well enough to help each other stay faithful. We’ll look at why accountability is a gift rather than a threat, what it looks like in practice, and what happens to a Christian who tries to walk alone.

This is a two-part day — the morning lesson lays the foundation, and the afternoon service picks the subject back up and carries it further. Come for both if you can.
